Problem installing iDemo on Windows

If you're having problems installing iDemo on Windows, try to run the installer as Administrator.
To do so, save the installer on your desktop for example and right-click on it, then select "Run As Administrator".
This should prompt you to enter an administrator password a few times.

We're actively working on a solution to fix this issue in the meantime.

If it's still not working, please post a message in the problems section, stating the following information if you can (copy/paste to your post):
Version of the OS:

32 or 64 bits:

is the account used for installation an administrator account or a user account:

Was iTunes installed before trying to install iDemo:

Was there a .Net framework installed before trying to install iDemo; Which version was it:

Additionally, here is the usual install steps one should see when installing iDemo.
The User Account Control notification can either ask you for an administrator password if you started the installer as a non-admin user, or popup a dialog if you're an admin or started the installer as an administrator, or not ask you anything if you turned UAC off.

1) If iTunes wasn't installed before, the Apple Bonjour EULA will be shown for you to accept
2) if .Net client framework 4.0 wasn't installed before, the Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile (x86 and x64) EULA will be shown for you to accept
3) you might see the Visual C++ 2010 Runtime Libraries (x86) EULA if you haven't installed such runtimes before
4) the iDemo setup will then say "downloading files" for a short time
if you didn't have iTunes installed:
5) User Account Control dialog for the Bonjour installer
if you didn't have the VC2010 runtime libraries installed:
6) User Account Control dialog for the VC2010 Runtime Libraries (vcredist_x86.exe)
7) you might see the Visual C++ 2010 Runtime Libraries (x86) EULA, which you have to accept again, then the installation progress, then an installation complete dialog.
if you didn't have the .Net client framework 4.0 installed:
8) User Account Control dialog for the .Net client framework installer (dotNetFx40_Client_setup.exe)
9) This will download and install the framework, which will take some time depending on the bandwidth of your internet connection and the speed of your computer
10) the .Net framework installer will tell you it needs to reboot
11) after rebooting and logging in with the same user account you started the installation with the install process will continue, with the iDemo setup wizard
12) User Account Control dialog for the wizard
13) when the wizard completes, iDemo is installed and can be started.

The installer has been tested on all the supported platforms with a variety of starting states, so it should (and does) work in most cases. Sadly windows being what it is, sometimes things do not work as they are supposed to.
Therefore, if you think something went differently during your installation, please say so in your post. It will help us trying to figure out your issue.
